Transcend has released an all new 64GB 2.5-inch solid state disk with extremely low power consumption and ultra-fast data transfer speeds. The SSD is designed for use in notebook computers and offers read / write speeds of up to 119MB and 64MB per second. If money is not an issue and system performance is your top most priority then you should certainly go for an SSD as it not only accelerates computer boot-up times, but also makes games and applications open faster and run more smoothly.

The disk is now available in various capacities with 32GB disk costing $567. No word on pricing of 64GB model.
